LYNN STEVEN BOUTIQUE

LYNNsteven boutique is one of my favourite Gastown boutiques to scope out when I’m the hood. Their simple and minimalist retail design lets you focus in on the thought out touches in the store, like the exposed heritage brick, classic to the Gastown area, and the classic floor tile designs. A big feature in their boutique is the book wall at the back of the shop, which is made from recycled paperbacks and doubles as a change room as well as a unique art installation.

GATHER AND HOME

You can never have too much white space and succulents, is what they (probably) say- and it rings true for Gather and Home’s beautiful clean and minimalist retail space. The airy store creates a stunning backdrop for their unique, handpicked home decor and fashion goods. Try shopping here without posting a few trendy shots for your Instagram, I bet you can’t!

FRANK AND OAK

At their new Gastown flagship store, Frank and Oak proves that they really know how to draw in their target customer. With a juice bar and a full service barber, this retail space is much more than just another store, but more of a getaway where men can shop, get groomed and feel relaxed. Since Frank and Oak started as an online retailer, customers are able to access their past order history while in store and online style profiles to make their in-store shopping experience even better. Customers can also book complimentary personal styling appointments with trained style advisors.

WALLFLOWER

If eclectic bohemian is more of your vibe, Wallflower’s colourful boutique in San Francisco will be right up your alley. A vintage store that specializes in a mix home decor, clothing, and all kinds of treasures for someone looking for something unique you can’t find anywhere else.

MIT MAT MAMA

Inspired by nature, this maternity in Barcelona uses wooden ladders to create a modular shelving system to furnish this retail interior. “The vertical rhythm of the ladders, together with the hanging plants, generates a green path that leads in the end to a great mirror that visually duplicates the store,” said architect, Román Izquierdo Bouldstridge.

Designed by the retail interior designer mastermind team at Helle Flou (seriously, check their work out!) This romantic and modern retail space in Denmark makes us want to buy a one way flight ticket over the pond now.
