Fall/Winter Fashion Week FW16-17
As Milan Fashion comes to an end, it’s time to recap on our favourite styles and trends for the year ahead. So far, we’ve seen a mixture of soft feminine looks clashed with some harder, edgier styles. Here in Vancouver, we’ve barely entered the Spring season, but we’re already getting excited for what’s in store for fall fashion.
TREND 1: THE LEATHER TRENCH
We saw varieties of leather trench coat styles during the F/W ‘1617 Fashion weeks so far. From the classic trench look at Banana Republic, to streetwear ready at Alexander Wang, this is definitely a style with staying power for this year’s fall season as it can transition from the runway into an everyday look.

TREND 2: CHECK MATE
Designers seemed to all be on the same page with plaid this season, as we saw lots of clean and refined plaid prints.

TREND 3: WEDNESDAY’S WE WEAR PINK
Fall palettes are about to be reinvented, designers are introducing a fresh take on fall colours with rosy pink tones to soften up our fall wardrobes.

TREND 4: JUMP ON IT
We are excited to see some fresh new takes on the jumper, one that has been quieter for a few seasons now, but it’s back with a more sophisticated and modern look for the Fall 1617 season.
